How should I wash my House of White Mulberry silk?
To preserve the natural luster and strength of the fibers, we recommend hand washing in cold water with a pH-neutral liquid detergent designed for silk.
If you prefer to use a washing machine:
Place your silk in a mesh laundry bag.
Select the Delicate or Hand Wash cycle.
Use the coldest water setting and a low spin speed.
Can I put my silk in the dryer?
No. Heat is the enemy of silk fibers. Never tumble dry your silk items. Instead, lay the garment flat on a clean towel and gently roll it to remove excess moisture (do not wring or twist). Then, hang it to air dry out of direct sunlight, as UV rays can damage the natural proteins in the silk.
How do I remove wrinkles?
The safest way to remove wrinkles is with a garment steamer on the lowest setting. If you must use an iron:
Ensure the iron is on the "Silk" or lowest heat setting.
Turn the garment inside out.
Always use a pressing cloth between the iron and the silk to prevent scorching or "shiny" marks.
What kind of detergent should I use?
Avoid "heavy-duty" detergents, bleaches, or fabric softeners. These contain enzymes that can break down the natural silk proteins. Look for detergents labeled "Silk-Safe," "Delicate," or "Wool & Silk."

A: Your items are being prepared at our specialized ateliers. If you ordered multiple pieces, they may arrive in separate packages to ensure the fastest delivery.

Silk is a delicate, natural protein fiber that easily absorbs skin oils, makeup, hair products, and perfumes. To guarantee that every piece you receive is in pristine, untouched, and clean condition, we do not accept returns or exchanges. This policy protects the integrity of our silk and the health of our clients.
Damaged or Incorrect Items We stand behind the quality of our Mulberry silk. If your order arrives damaged, defective, or if you received the incorrect item, we will make it right immediately.
Notify Us: Please email us at contact@houseofwhitemulberry.com within 48 hours of delivery.
Provide Proof: Include a clear photograph of the damage or the incorrect item received.
Resolution: You do not need to ship the item back. Keep the original item. Once the damage is verified, we will arrange for a brand-new replacement to be shipped to you at no additional cost.
